Double coupons are back!

NEVER in my wildest dreams did I ever think that KMART would offer double coupons AGAIN!!!

They will be doubling from October 1-5. This means two ad cycles!!

You can go to Kmart's website and sign up for a $5 coupon.

They did this in early September. I wrote about it here. I think the same rules will apply, but I'm not sure because I can't find anything in writing.

My return to Ralphs

Ok, I'm going to Ralphs this week. They found two ways to lure me in.

1. Lean Cuisines are on sale 10 for $15. Frankly Ralphs has a better selection of Lean Cuisine's then Staters does. I love the peanut chicken and the orange peel chicken (large box) and I haven't had them since I started my Ralphs strike in June.

Click here and here for some coupons to use on the Lean Cuisine's. I'm pretty sure I can get them for $1 each with the coupons. I eat these for lunch every day, its easier to grab one of these on the way out then to make lunch everyday.

2. They sent me coupons for free stuff!! Here's what I am getting for free:

FREE Gatorade Isotonic Drink 6 pack or 8 pack (not sure what this is, but its free!!)

Coupon organization

Since I've gotten so involved in collecting coupons, I have found that I need to be organized. The way that I store coupon inserts is by using a crate with hanging file folders.

On Sundays I go through the inserts and clip which ever coupons I know that I will use. I keep the inserts and file them by date. This way I still have the inserts in case I find out about double coupon days some place or find a deal on a coupon that I didn't clip. The files make it easy to grab what I need.

I also have a file for store ads. In the past I had what my husband calls "a rats nest" of inserts, and ads. I had several nests throughout the house and in my car. Now they are all in one file. If I am going away for the weekend or camping, it is easy to throw the crate in the car and always have my coupons with me. Yes, I know I am obsessed I'd grab this crate if there was a fire, after my dogs of course!

It would be easy to add files to meet your needs, for example a restaurant coupon file, etc.

I just picked up to crate files at CVS this week for $0.50. Maybe my mom, Nanny or Marsha would want one....

I made two transactions today. A lot of people have asked me if I do all of my transactions at the same store at the same time. The answer is, NO. I have lots of CVS's near me, so I always do my transactions in separate trips at different stores. For example, on my way home from Kaiser, I pass 3 CVS's!!! I've never had the guts to do 2 transactions at the same time.

I'll be calling CVS tomorrow about this transaction. The cashier wouldn't let me use one of my dog food coupons and the dog food rang up $1.19 each and the shelf said $.99. I should be getting $2.52 back. It would have been even lower if I could have used my $5 off $30 coupon again. Oh well, I would have paid $6 for the tampons without getting the rest of the stuff before I started CVSing......
